Jonee Kulman Brigham, AIA, LEED AP, Research Coordinator and Adjunct Teaching Instructor, kulma002@umn.edu Jonee Kulman Brigham, AIA, LEED AP, is a research coordinator and adjunct teaching instructor at the Center for Sustainable Building Research at the University of Minnesota. Jonee holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Minnesota, is a registered architect and a LEED accredited professional. She is Co-Principal Investigator for the B3 State of Minnesota Sustainable Building Guidelines and leads sustainable post occupancy evaluation work at the Center. She also serves on the Minnesota Greenstar Green Homes and Remodeling Technical Committee, and is part of the faculty for the Master of Science - Sustainable Design Track at the College of Design. While at the Center, Jonee has also worked on outcome-focused sustainable case study projects, the development of residential green remodeling guidelines, and materials life cycle analysis. She led a daylighting training program for architects, and has taught graduate courses for the School of Architecture in the areas of lighting and acoustics. She represented the Center as a board member of the Mississippi Headwaters Chapter of the US Green Building Council and served on committees for the technology curriculum and the development of the MS Sustainable Design Track. Before coming to the University, Jonee worked at The Weidt Group as an energy and environmental analyst, at Cuningham Group Architects as a practicing architect and environmental committee member, and at Intep, LLC, as a Senior Project Manager for sustainable consulting projects. Based on her varied experience, She co-authored Sustainable Design, a 100-page primer for architects, published in 2001 by the National Council of Architecture Registration Boards. She also served on the AIA Minnesota Housing Advocacy Committee (formerly Search for Shelter Committee,) and the AIA Minnesota Committee on the Environment. Outside of work, Jonee is pursuing a masters degree on the intersections of culture, sustainability, art and design, as related to infrastructure. She also practices public and studio art through Full Spring Studio. |
