Design for Community Resilience is a service offered by the Center for Sustainable Building Research that seeks to transform civic challenges into sustainable opportunities through design assistance. At a time of constrained resources, design can creatively cross boundaries and leverage untapped opportunities to not only solve the problem at hand but also make a community or organization more resilient in terms of the future.
Working with communities, local governments, non-profits and other organizations research staff from CSBR engage students from the College of Design to address pressing problems while turning them into opportunities to make sustainable decisions for the community/organization’s and the planet’s future.
