Liliana Ninaquispe Romero, Research Fellow Instructor, ninaq002@umn.edu Liliana Ninaquispe is a Research Fellow at the Center for Sustainable Building Research (CSBR) at the University of Minnesota. She holds a B.S. in Architecture from the National University of Engineers (UNI) in Lima, Peru and a Master of Science in Architecture –Sustainable design track from the University of Minnesota. She is also a Peruvian Fulbright scholar. Liliana has also worked for more than 5 years for the Peruvian government in the Department of Housing in affordable housing and rural housing programs using local materials. She has also worked as an architect as part of the Sectorial team for the Reconstruction Fund (FORSUR) in the division of Housing and Planning to give relieve for the affected people of the Earthquake of Peru in 2007. Her research at CSBR is focused on working with local materials in order to increase accessibility, and affordability in housing and efficient land usage. She has recently published her research work in Totora as a Sustainable Material for Insulation in Adobe Masonry Houses in Puno – Peru. |
